FTP Racing Short BAR winners
Well after four amazing time trials we have three overall winners...
In the female category, we have Megan Dickerson (pictured) of Skoda DST. Meg's overall time for the 10, 25, 50 and 100 mile events was an astonishing 7:36:26!
In the male category, we have Jake Sargent (pictured) of FTP Racing.
Jakes overall time for the 10,25, 50 and 100 was an unbelievable 6:45:28!
And in the vet on standard category was Tony Chapman of Frome & Dist Wheelers.
Tony completed the 10, 25, 50 and 100 in an incredible 7:17:59!
The awards were kindly donated by a local engineering company - Majorlift Hydraulic Equipment, based in Wickwar. Tristram Southgate, managing director and fellow cyclist, didn't hesitate to help reward the efforts made by our winners...

Did someone ask for good weather?! - well is good 25C for a 100 miler!?
Well 39 hardy souls passed todays test with maximum effort!
As a note from me - I've seen some grimacing in time trials before, but today I witnessed true effort and going deep... Fair play to all....
Great efforts firstly from the road bike category - Alex and Tim posting times which most would be pleased with on a TT rig! Well done chaps!
Next the TT cat. Superb riding from Jake and Ross... both sub 3:45 rides and both broke the old course record, with Jake taking the win - massive congratulations!
And within no time, Meg Dickerson breaks the female course record by some margin, with her 1st ever 100 - Superb riding!
The scene at the HQ after the event was messy! a picture of relief / disbelief and smiles - Fantastic riding in these conditions....

Well the weather held for the event and riders from all around gathered on the A38, North of Bristol, for the 1st of the FTP Racing short BAR series on the U7b.
